Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Kings Bay, GA seeks an AIT Lead to support the Modernization Program Manager and Site Manager, overseeing alteration installation planning and execution. The role includes MOA development, routing and scheduling, readiness review creation and execution, and Manning plan as a minimum.

You will be the primary EB contact for the AIT Manager, OSIC, LMA and other government activities with travel to Navy facilities as required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in Naval Shipyard and/or IMF environment.
• 8+ years Project Management experience.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute Alteration projects as AIT Lead.
• Develop MOA, route services requests, and create readiness reviews.
• Prepare Manning plan and schedule progress reports.
• Serve as EB point of contact for AIT Manager, OSIC, LMA and others.
• Travel to U.S. Navy facilities as required; occasional after hours work.

Job description

Thiis position is located in Kings Bay, GA.

The AIT Lead will provide direct support to the Modernization Program Manager (D684) and the Site Manager for ensuring accomplishment of established Maintenance and Modernization Program goals.

The AIT Lead will function as the Alteration Installation Team (AIT) Lead per NAVSEA TS9090-310 and be responsible for the overall planning and execution of projects. The alteration planning responsibilities will include; MOA development and routing to include the services request, schedule and metrics development, Readiness Review creation and execution, and Manning plan as a minimum.

Duties required during the execution of Alteration will include; performing the role as AIT Lead, keeping the Program Manager and Site Manager informed of schedule progress, as well as any issues that are impacting schedule, and developing/leading a Project Status Report meeting to be held as directed by the Site Manager.

In this role the selected candidate will be the primary EB point of contact for the AIT Manager, OSIC, LMA and other government activities.

• Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Shift work and emergency overtime may be required.
• Travel to other U.S. Navy facilities in the continental Unites States, Hawaii and the far East is Required.
• The candidate is comfortable with change and able to adapt to the changing environment.
• Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance or higher.
• The candidate must possess strong analytical, causal analysis, communication, organizational, planning, and writing skills under minimal supervision.
• The candidate must demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasking.
