Job summary

Antech Diagnostics, part of Mars Science & Diagnostics, is seeking a veterinary radiologist to remotely interpret digital radiographs, ultrasound, MRI, CT, and other diagnostic images to support veterinarians in clinical care.

The role requires a DVM/VMD with ACVR or EVDI diplomate status, state licensure, and strong English communication. The position offers flexible scheduling and a competitive, merit-based starting pay with potential commissions.

Qualifications

  • DVM/VMD degree or equivalent.
  • Diplomat of ACVR or EVDI.
  • Expertise interpreting radiographs, ultrasound, CT, MRI and nuclear medicine.
  • Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in respective state.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to medical quality and veterinary ethics.
  • Ability to think outside the box with attention to detail.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Team player with ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Remotely reviewing, evaluating and interpreting radiographs, ultrasound, MRI, CT, and other diagnostic images submitted digitally
  • Dictating diagnostic imaging reports using voice dictation software
  • Collaborative communications with colleagues through the AIS chat group
  • Consulting with clients and other veterinary professionals through phone, email, Zoom, MS Teams and other forms of communication
  • Interact with AIS technical support and other personnel
  • Be involved in regular AIS clinic rounds, journal club, employee meetings and professional enrichment which may be held in person or in online formats
  • Participate in ACVR CE and other applicable CE events
  • Participate in various quality control programs
  • Maintain proficiency in clinical diagnostic skills and stay current on new theories and treatments
  • Assist in other duties relevant to veterinary teleradiology
  • May be asked to participate in enterprise initiatives and special projects.

This position remotely interprets digital radiographs , ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and other diagnostic images, and provides evaluations for use by veterinarians in the clinical treatment of their patients. The Target starting pay range for this position at full-time status is $175,000 - $275,000 annually with a big opportunity for additional commission, as this role will read a variety of cases. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training, and budget. Currently, we are open to all types of schedule preferences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Education and Experience
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent
  • Diplomat of American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) or European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (EVDI)
  • Expertise interpreting radiographs, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and nuclear medicine
  • Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in respective state
  • Fluency in the English language
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong commitment to practicing the highest standards of medical quality while upholding the veterinary code of ethics
  • The ability to think outside the box, with a keen attention to detail
