Job summary

Antech Diagnostics seeks a veterinary radiologist to remotely review and interpret digital imaging (X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, CT) for clinical decision support. You will dictate evaluations and collaborate with clinicians via multiple channels.

The role offers full-time remote work with a starting pay range of $175,000 to $275,000 annually, plus potential commissions based on case mix and performance. Must be licensed in the relevant state and fluent in English.

Qualifications

  • DVM/VMD degree or equivalent required.
  • Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state.
  • ACVR/ECVDI diplomate preferred.
  • Experience interpreting radiology modalities is essential.
  • Fluency in English required.

Responsibilities

  • Remotely reviewing, evaluating and interpreting x-rays, ultrasound, MRI, DR, CT and other images.
  • Dictating medical evaluations using Dragon and other dictating software.
  • Collaborating with colleagues via AIS Hive and other channels.
  • Consulting with clients and veterinary professionals by phone, email, text, Zoom and more.
  • Participating in rounds, journal club and CE activities.
  • Maintaining proficiency in diagnostic skills and current treatments.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

This position remotely reviews and evaluates digital x-ray, ultrasound, magnetic resonance (MRI), digital radiography (DR), computed tomography (CT), and other diagnostic images and provides evaluations for use by veterinarians in the clinical treatment of their patients.

The Target starting pay range for this position at full-time status is $175,000 - $275,000 annually with a big opportunity for additional commission, as this role will read a variety of cases. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training, and budget.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Remotely reviewing, evaluating and interpreting x-rays, ultrasound, MRI, DR, CT, and other diagnostic images submitted digitally
  • Dictating medical evaluations using Dragon and other dictating software
  • Collaborative communications with colleagues through the AIS Hive.
  • Consulting with clients and other veterinary professional through phone, email, text, Zoom, MS Teams and other forms of communication
  • Interact with imaging and other laboratory personnel
  • Be involved in regular AIS clinic rounds, journal club, employee meetings and professional enrichment which may be held in person in on-line formats
  • Participate in ACVR continuing education (CE) as well as other applicable CE events
  • Participation in various quality control programs
  • Maintain proficiency in clinical diagnostic skills and current on new theories, diagnostic approaches and available treatments in the veterinary industry
  • Assist in other duties relevant to veterinary teleradiology and other diagnostic reference laboratory services
  • May be asked to participate in enterprise initiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent
  • Diplomat of American College of Veterinary Radiology or European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging preferred
  • Expertise interpreting radiographs, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and nuclear medicine
  • Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in respective state
  • Fluency in the English language

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a remote role where the employee will primarily work in a home office at their personal residence.
