Job summary

Honda Aircraft Company is seeking an Aircraft Technician/Quality Control to support its Part 145 Repair Station. You will inspect aircraft, review maintenance records, and ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance while mentoring technicians in documentation practices.

The role requires an A&P license, at least 18 months of hands-on maintenance experience, and familiarity with FAA regulations and repair station procedures. HA-420 experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Airframe and Powerplant License required.
• Minimum of 18 months of practical aircraft maintenance experience.
• HA-420 experience preferred, or equivalent aircraft maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs required aircraft inspections, return-to-service (RTS) activities, and reviews maintenance documentation to ensure compliance and airworthiness.
• Demonstrated ability to make airworthiness determinations and return-to-service decisions in accordance with 145 Repair Station procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Interpret FAA regulations, maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and approved technical data.
• Review aircraft, engine, and component records of repairs and alterations to ensure conformity to FAA approved/acceptable data.
• Review aircraft logbooks and other necessary aircraft-related documentation for accuracy. Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure accurate and timely completion of aircraft inspections.
• Maintain and update aircraft maintenance records.
• Mentor technicians on proper maintenance documentation practices, including maintenance sign-offs and aircraft logbook entries.
• Monitor and ensure ongoing compliance with FAA 14 CFR Part 145 regulations and Repair Station Manuals.
• Coordinate Part 135 Operator Required Inspection Item (RII) training for maintenance personnel, ensure compliance with Part 135 operator requirements, and perform RII inspections as required.
• Perform Technician maintenance tasks, as required.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including any shift, weekends, and travel assignments, as required to support operational and customer needs.
