Job summary

Leidos in Anchorage, Alaska is seeking an Airspace / Aviation Analyst to support FAA TRACON operations. You will help with airspace changes, training scenarios, and traffic flow in the Anchorage area, including ZAN, A11, ANC, MRI, and LHD facilities.

This is a part-time role with 20–24 hours per week, onsite in Anchorage, with potential travel up to 10%. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with required experience, CPC certification, and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's with 6+ years.
  • U.S. citizen or eligible for Public Trust security clearance.
  • Certified Professional Controller (CPC) with Terminal and/or TRACON experience.
  • Experience preparing written documents, memos and briefs.
  • Familiarity with FAA structure, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and administer airspace training scenarios.
  • Develop training syllabus for IFR, VFR and PBN operations and routes within affected facilities.
  • Develop training program for A11, ANC, LHD, MRI for new traffic flows when EDF Runway 17 CAT II ILS is implemented.
  • Develop training manuals and classroom curriculums for Anchorage area facilities.
  • Position may require approximately 10% travel.
