Job summary

Leidos in Anchorage, Alaska is seeking an Airspace / Aviation Analyst to support FAA TRACON operations and airspace changes in the Anchorage area. The role requires a bachelor's or master’s degree with extensive air traffic control experience, including CPC certification, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Onsite work in Anchorage is required.

Travel up to about 10% may be needed; the program offers challenging work and a chance to contribute to critical airspace projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience OR Master's with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Previous designation as a Certified Professional Controller (CPC) with Terminal and/or TRACON experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance; must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident with continuous residency in the U.S. for the past 3 of 5 years.
  • Experience in a staff environment preparing written documents, memos and briefs.
  • Familiarity with FAA organizational structure, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and administer airspace training scenarios.
  • Assist in development of training syllabus for IFR, VFR, and PBN operations and routes.
  • Assist in development of training programs for multiple facilities when EDF Runway 17 CAT II ILS is implemented.
  • Create training manuals and classroom curriculums for Anchorage facilities.
  • Travel may be required up to ~10%.
