Job summary

NMS is seeking a Wheelchair Dispatcher to coordinate wheelchair service requests and deploy mobility attendants across terminals. You will be the central communications hub between airlines, passengers, and attendants to ensure timely, safe service for travelers with mobility needs.

Responsibilities include prioritizing requests, dispatching staff, monitoring timelines, and maintaining professional communication with all parties.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and assist with transfers.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Able to pass SIDA badge test and TSA STA.
Must be fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Responsibilities

Receive and prioritize wheelchair service requests from airlines and airport staff.
Dispatch attendants to locations using radio, phone, or dispatch software.
Monitor service timelines to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
Track staff locations and workload to optimize coverage.
Maintain clear communication with attendants and airline staff.
Document incidents and service issues per company policies.
Provide customer service support as needed.
Ensure compliance with security regulations.
Assist supervisors with staffing during peak periods.
Maintain passenger information confidentiality.
May require occasional walking between terminals.
Other duties as assigned.
