Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation, Inc. in Anchorage is seeking a Wheelchair Dispatcher to coordinate wheelchair service requests and deploy mobility attendants at the airport. This role serves as the central hub between airlines, passengers and attendants to ensure timely, safe service.

We offer on-site work with training provided; candidates must lift up to 50 pounds, be fluent in English, and obtain SIDA/Alaska AOA/TSA credentials as part of the process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn dispatch software.
• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
• Pass SIDA Badge test and Alaska AOA Badge.
• Successfully pass FBI background check and TSA STA.
• Able to lift/move up to 50 pounds and assist with passenger transfers.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prioritize wheelchair service requests from airlines, gate agents, and airport personnel.
• Dispatch attendants to locations using radio, phone, or dispatch software.
• Monitor service timelines for prompt pickup and delivery.
• Track staff locations, availability, and workload for coverage.
• Maintain clear communication with attendants and airline staff.
• Update service statuses in dispatch systems as required.
• Coordinate assistance for connecting passengers and tight turnarounds.
• Respond quickly to urgent/ high-priority requests.
• Document incidents, delays, or issues per policy.
• Provide customer service support when needed.
• Ensure compliance with airport security regulations and company policies.
• Assist supervisors with staffing during peak periods.
• Maintain confidentiality of passenger information.
• May require occasional walking between terminals.
