Menzies Aviation in Portland, OR is seeking a dedicated Wheelchair Assistance Agent to support airline passengers with mobility needs at the airport. You will help passengers from curb to gate, ensuring safety and comfort while coordinating with airline staff and airport teams.

The role requires excellent communication, physical stamina to lift up to 70 lbs, and eligibility to work in the US. A GED/HS diploma and ability to obtain an airport badge are preferred.

Formación

• Must be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the US.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check and a drug screen.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
• High School Graduate or GED preferred.
• Ability to obtain an airport badge.
• Ability to work various shifts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to hear and respond to spoken voice and alarms generated by terminal environment.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Push wheelchair passengers to and from gates
• Roll customer-occupied wheelchair safely down the jet bridge
• Ensure wheel brakes are in place prior to allowing passengers to exit the wheelchair
• Complete any necessary wheelchair or incident reports
• Follow dispatcher gate orders
• Maintain a friendly and positive attitude and attend to each passenger's needs
• Maintain professional relationships with fellow employees, supervisors, managers, airline employees, and airport authorities
• Carry out other duties as assigned
