Kaplankirsch is seeking a mid-level associate for our Airports Practice, based in Denver or Orlando, to handle sophisticated deal work across airports, real estate, construction, and public finance. You will draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements and advise clients on complex regulatory and funding schemes, with periodic travel to client sites and industry conferences.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3–5 years of transactional legal experience.
• Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Interest in public sector, commercial and infrastructure matters.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting.
• Strong judgment and initiative with collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the nationwide Airports Practice and collaborate across real estate, environmental, rail/transit, project finance, and construction.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage development, acquisition/disposition, easement, lease, design-build, and procurement contracts.
• Advise clients on federal regulatory and funding schemes related to airport operations and development.
• Guide clients on project development, financing structures, procurement strategies, and construction matters.
• Travel periodically for client meetings, site visits, negotiations, and industry conferences.
