Job summary

The City of Fresno is seeking an Airports Systems Technician to monitor, troubleshoot, and repair critical airport system equipment across baggage handling, water controls, energy management, storm water, autoclave, access control, and passenger boarding bridge systems. You will be the first line of defense for outages and coordinate with the Information Services Department and security hardware.

Requirements include two years of experience with mechanical or conveyor systems, a valid California

Qualifications

• Two years of experience with mechanical or conveyor systems.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Ability to pass TSA CHRC and STA.
• FAA 10‑year employment history verification including a criminal history check.
• Must pass department interview and DOJ fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to system outages, troubleshoot issues, and restore service.
• Monitor, install, maintain, and repair Baggage Handling System controls, Water/Energy/Storm Water control systems, Autoclave, access control doors, and Passenger Boarding Bridge controls.
