Job summary

The Executive Sous Chef at Tastes on the Fly SFO International, LLC will support the Executive Chef to run a high-volume BOH operation on-site in South San Francisco. You will work across BOH positions, coach staff, and help with inventory and compliance while maintaining safety, sanitation, and consistent quality.

You will partner with the Exec Chef to meet P&L goals, lead by example, and adapt to seasonal restaurant needs and demanding service periods.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly.
• Basic math skills and computer literacy (MS Office, internet).
• Experience supervising staff and coaching junior cooks.
• Food safety knowledge and ability to follow recipes precisely.

Responsibilities

• Work the line: prepare and plate all menu items.
• Assist with base item prep, sauces and portioning.
• Lead safety, sanitation inspections and staff hygiene.
• Train new employees and coach current staff, including sous chefs.
• Handle inventory, ordering and administrative duties.
