Job Description

As an Airport Security Officer: Full-Time (Tues-Fri)in Lihue, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to travelers, staff, and visitors. Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and other stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, access points, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted or controlled areas in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials when required, and report unauthorized access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established airport and site-specific protocols.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns to supervisors and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
