Allied Universal in Kailua Kona, HI, is hiring an Airport Security Officer (Part-Time). You will provide customer service to travelers and staff, patrol airport areas, and respond to incidents while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, and integrity.

Position is part-time with a fixed schedule Wed/Fri/Sat; pay is $25.25 per hour. Must be fluent in English, meet background and screening requirements, and be 18+ years old for unarmed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and staff while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and promptly; notify airport personnel as directed.
• Monitor access points and document observations and patrol activities per site procedures.
• Assist in maintaining an orderly environment by giving directions and reporting hazards.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for travelers, visitors, and staff. Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)

• 18+ years of age

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and/or agency personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, parking areas, access points, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate airport personnel and public agencies as directed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, documenting observations, incidents, and patrol activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by providing directions, reporting hazards or facility concerns, and supporting security-related operations at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
