Allied Universal is seeking an Airport Security Officer for a part-time role in Lihue, HI. The position offers Sunday–Saturday shifts with a schedule that includes Wed and Thur nights, focusing on airport security, traveler assistance, and incident response.

You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, monitor areas, and work within a dynamic government transportation environment. A positive, professional demeanor is required.

Qualifications

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to travelers, staff, and visitors. Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AMThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 18+ years of age

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and other stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at airport facilities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, public areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor assigned areas for unusual conditions, restricted-area access concerns, and potential hazards, and report observations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, directions, and other security-related support while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic government transportation environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
