Position: Aircraft Ground Handling Staff
Schedule
Monday through Sunday, with A.M. and P.M. shifts available.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, service, guide, and direct customer aircraft.
- Safeguard customers' baggage, air cargo, and mail from weather, loss, theft, damage, or destruction.
- Handle passenger baggage, airmail, freight, and company materials safely, including loading/unloading and transferring in and out of aircraft.
- Operate pushback equipment and coordinate with Wing Walkers to ensure safety.
- Record and receive customer baggage, airfreight, mail, and materials.
- Transport cargo and baggage to and from aircraft, maintaining proper records.
- Operate motorized equipment such as belt loaders, lift trucks, pushback tugs, and carts, or manually handle push carts and containers.
- Complete necessary paperwork and data entry related to work assignments.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, according to skill and experience.
Qualifications
- Must be a resident of the state where the position is located.
- Valid in-state driver's license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a background check (up to 10 years).
- At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Complete ramp and SIDA training for airport security identification.
- Ability to lift/move items weighing 70 pounds regularly and lift 40-50 pounds on raised surfaces.
- Physical ability to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods.
- Ability to work in cramped or elevated spaces and carry heavy items up/down jetway stairs.
- High School diploma or GED; relevant experience preferred.
