Job summary

Allegheny County Airport Authority is seeking a qualified plumber to install, repair and maintain plumbing and fire protection systems across PIT and AGC facilities. You will perform pipe fabrication, fittings, and testing per safety codes, and work on projects including airport facilities.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid PA license, Backflow Certification, and a recognized apprenticeship or equivalent training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or equivalent training.
• Licensed as a Pennsylvania journeyman plumber.
• Backflow Certification required for all hires after Jan 1, 2018.
• Current PA Class C driver’s license or ability to maintain one.
• Own personal hand tools of the trade.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing installation, repair and maintenance across airport facilities.
• Read and interpret building plans and drawings for installation sequencing.
• Inspect structures to avoid obstructions and maintain integrity.
• Install and repair piping systems and fixtures (gas lines, sinks, etc.).
• Maintain and test fire protection systems and related equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance and preventative tasks for airport plumbing networks.
