Job summary

City of Abilene is seeking a Parking Lot Attendant for Abilene Regional Airport. You will provide friendly customer service, collect fees, balance cash, and help keep the lot clean and organized. The job requires working outdoors, weekends/evenings, and basic arithmetic.<\/p>

The role may involve supervising attendants, coordinating shifts, and training new staff. Texas driver’s license or ability to obtain within 90 days is required. <\/p>

Qualifications

• Entry level Parking Lot Attendant I; no previous experience required.
• Parking Lot Attendant II requires two years of parking operations and/or revenue collection experience with cash registers.
• Valid Texas driver’s license or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Basic arithmetic, reading and writing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer service and handle inquiries and complaints.
• Collect parking fees from customers exiting the lot.
• Balance cash receipts and verify cash draws at shift start and end.
• Monitor the parking lot and inform management of incidents.
• Return luggage carts and dispose of trash in the parking area.
• Apply herbicide to weeds in designated areas as needed.
• Count parked cars and perform general housekeeping inside/outside the booth.
• Operate City vehicle as necessary.
• Parking Lot Attendant II: assist Attendant I and manage schedules and training.
