Winter Haven Regional Airport is seeking an Airport Operations Technician II to support day-to-day operations and facility maintenance. You will oversee runways, taxiways, and ramps for safe aircraft operations, fuel aircraft, marshal on ramps, and train staff under supervision.

The Airport Operations Technicians are responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of airport facilities and equipment. This role involves performing a variety of tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the airport, including conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting equipment issues, and coordinating with other airport personnel. The Airport Operations Technician II will work under the guidance of the Airport Operations Supervisor to maintain a safe and secure environment for airport operations.
Under general supervision of the Airport Director, this position performs a variety of specialized work in the operations of the Winter Haven Regional Airport; maintains and ensures the safety of runways, taxiways, and ramps for aircraft operations; conducts aircraft fueling and marshaling; maintains Airport facilities and grounds; conducts training; and performs related duties, as required or directed. As the lead operations technician, you will oversee the work of assigned personnel. Performs daily inspections of all airport operational areas and equipment for compliance with federal, state, local, and airport rules and regulations. Performs both semi-skilled and skilled labor in the maintenance of airport buildings, hangars, pavement, lighting, fencing, as well as other facilities and grounds. Assists during aircraft emergencies, facility equipment failure, airfield lighting failures, building/structure emergencies, pavement failures, hazardous incidents, and related emergencies. Fuels aircrafts utilizing safe practices and procedures. Directs and parks aircrafts on ramps. Provides training to other members of the staff. Assists the public; responds to routine questions or concerns and requests for service; initiates problem resolution. Operates vehicles and equipment to perform work and necessary errands as directed.
