Job summary

All Aviation Jobs at Lewiston-Nez Perce County Airport seeks an Airport Maintenance, Operations, and ARFF Specialist. You will support airside, landside, and terminal operations on rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain TSA clearance and ARFF certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record.
• TSA background check required.
• Acquire and maintain ARFF certification.
• Complete pre-employment checks (background, medical, drug screen).
• Operate heavy equipment and fire trucks as trained.
• Willing to work all shifts incl. nights/weekends/holidays.
• Good verbal and written communication; color vision.
• Ability to work in all weather and terrains.

Responsibilities

• Identify safety, security, and operational concerns across airport areas.
• Maintain airside, landside, and terminal facilities; create work orders and perform maintenance.
• Operate heavy equipment for airside tasks and snow removal.
• Serve as Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter when needed.
• Coordinate near-airport construction with minimal disruption to operations.
• Monitor NOTAMs and enforce airport rules and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of FARs and Advisory Circulars.
• Conduct terminal inspections and light janitorial duties.
• Represent the airport professionally to the public and tenants.
