Job summary

United Ground Express is seeking a General Manager to lead daily station operations, service, and financial performance at a U.S. airport location. You will drive team performance, safety, and a welcoming customer experience while maintaining standards and costs.

Responsibilities include budget oversight, staffing planning, and ensuring compliance with security and aviation regulations. You will coach staff, foster positive relations, and coordinate with authorities and vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate airport operations independently.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical thinking, goal-directed leadership, and service-oriented performance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and drive for excellence.
• Must possess and maintain a valid US state driver’s license.
• Willingness to work all shifts, including holidays and weekends.
• Previous service or operational and supervisory experience.
• College degree or equivalent work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational and financial performance of assigned station and take corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements, including security checkpoint and GSC responsibilities.
• Lead by example to deliver excellent customer service at the station.
• Maintain a positive work environment and strong employee relations.
• Solicit customer feedback to improve travel experiences.
• Provide coaching and direction to the station team to meet goals.
• Manage the operations budget, staffing forecasts and resources.
• Maintain station facilities, equipment, and appearance standards for UGE staff.
