Snohomish County Paine Field Airport is hiring two Airport Operations Specialists to support airside, terminal and landside operations and ensure compliance with FAA Part 139 and TSA requirements.

These roles involve coordinating training programs, managing certifications, handling facility inspections, noise management, security, and incident response, with a 24x7 shift schedule and collaboration with Airlines, tenants and County partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1 year airfield operations experience required; equivalent combination of training/experience considered.
• Knowledge of FAA Part 139, TSA regulations, and NOTAM procedures preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply technical material; effective written and verbal communication.

Responsabilités

• Manages FAA Part 139 and TSA training programs; ensures facilities compliance with training requirements.
• Implements and ensures compliance with all federal regulations pertaining to airport operations, safety, certification, wildlife hazard management, and security under FAA Part 139 and TSA 1542.
• Oversees and updates Airport Certification Manual (ACM) and Airport Security Program (ASP) and related policies.
• Manages hangar leases and tie-down spaces; performs inspections and inventories.
• Uses radar flight tracking to monitor noise, responds to community noise complaints, and discusses issues with groups.
• Maintains noise database and coordinates noise monitoring hardware/software acquisition and installation.
• Drafts and negotiates rates for noise equipment easements.
• Troubleshoots and configures radar systems and remote noise monitors for proper functionality.
• Handles airfield incidents and recommends closures/reopenings; liaises with County departments and agencies.
• Coordinates investigation/response to security violations per Airport Security Plan.
• Evaluates and communicates impacts of closures/restrictions to airlines and tenants during maintenance or construction.
• Conducts airfield and facility inspections; mobilizes maintenance to address deficiencies; reviews runway conditions in winter weather.
• Coordinates airport special events and communicates status to management and partners.
• Administers hardware/software for the division; supports data/configuration migration and license compliance with DoIT processes.
• Participates in technology coordination groups and project teams; shares status with management and stakeholders.
