Job summary

The Town of Nantucket Memorial Airport seeks an experienced Assistant Airport Manager to oversee Airport Operations, Airfield Maintenance, and FBO. This leadership role balances active on-site airfield operations with seasonal peaks and long-term facility management.

Essential duties include ensuring FAR Part 139 compliance, serving as liaison during FAA inspections, overseeing fuel safety, reviewing CSPPs, and contributing to budgets and procurement specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aviation management or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 10 years of airport-related experience with an increasing level of responsibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure strict compliance with FAR Part 139, ACM, AEP, Wildlife Hazard Management, and Snow and Ice Control.
• Serve as primary liaison during annual FAA certification inspections.
• Oversee fuel farm network safety and inventory.
• Review CSPPs for capital projects and monitor Part 77 airspace.
• Contribute to annual operating budgets, rate reviews, and procurement specifications.
• Operate with independence using established policies and professional judgment.
