Over 50 million passengers traveled through Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in 2024, making it one of the busiest airports in the country in the nation's 5th largest city. Sky Harbor is the largest of three airports in the Phoenix Airport System (Phoenix Sky Harbor, Deer Valley, and Goodyear airports), operated by the City of Phoenix Aviation Department, with an annual economic impact of over $44 billion.
The Aviation Department has vacancies for an Airport Operations Assistant. This role performs safety, security, and customer service tasks in airside and landside operations. Responsibilities include public contact, handling inquiries and complaints, traffic, pedestrian, and crowd control, emergency response, operational inspections, and compliance with federal and city regulations. Applicants must be able to drive on city business with an acceptable driving record.
This position involves working 3rd shift, with vacancies in Landside and Airside Operations.
Experience with Part 139 Airfield and Part 1542 Security regulations is a plus.
Pay Range: $20.02 to $35.96 per hour.
Hiring Range: $20.02 to $32.62 per hour.
