Job summary

Health IT NEWS.Direct! is seeking a Mechanical Technician to oversee the maintenance and management of critical mechanical systems at the New Orleans International Airport. The role involves ensuring optimal operation, reliability, and adherence to safety standards of various equipment including Passenger Boarding Bridges and HVAC systems.

The ideal candidate will have a background in maintenance, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Benefits include medical/dental insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of maintenance experience in industrial or airport environments.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with PLCs and automated system components.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair HVAC systems and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery according to manuals and specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance services in line with OEM specifications.
