Job summary

The City of New Orleans is seeking a highly skilled journeyman to operate, maintain, inspect, and repair HVAC and mechanical systems, including related equipment and controls at the airport complex.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and licenses such as 1st Class Air Conditioning/Refrigeration and 1st Class Boiler’s; EPA certification Type I and II or Universal; and five years of full-time experience repairing and maintaining HVAC and refrigeration

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license; eligible for coverage under airport auto liability policy.
• 1st Class Air Conditioning or Refrigeration License.
• 1st Class Boiler’s License.
• EPA Technician Certification Type I and II or Universal.
• Five years of full-time HVAC and refrigeration experience at an airport or equivalent facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, inspect, and repair HVAC and mechanical systems, including associated equipment and controls.
• Perform related work as required.
