Job summary

Qualifications

• Background in supervising maintenance or utility crews and directing daily operational activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory leadership for Crew Chiefs and Utility Workers, including assigning work, managing schedules, and ensuring staffing on multiple shifts.
• Monitor and evaluate work quality, productivity, and performance; prepare performance appraisals; issue corrective actions as needed; and recommend further disciplinary measures.
• Resolve conflicts and foster collaboration across maintenance teams and other airport departments.
• Identify and track training needs for Crew Chiefs and Utility Workers; coordinate training for competency and safety.
• Prepare job cost estimates and develop work plans aligned with priorities.
• Assist in budget development; monitor expenditures; authorize purchases and ensure invoice coding accuracy.
• Oversee inventory levels for shop materials and equipment; reorder supplies.
• Develop and enforce policies and standard work practices for consistency and compliance.
• Manage the maintenance safety program; conduct monthly safety meetings; address hazards; implement corrective actions.
• Provide recommendations for new equipment specifications to improve safety and effectiveness.
• Monitor and audit preventative maintenance on all utility equipment.
• Organize and maintain records/reports; ensure alignment with goals and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with internal/external partners to minimize disruptions.
• Utilize MS Office at an advanced level for reporting and data management.
• Make accurate decisions in emergencies or high-pressure situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
