Job summary

Amber Green Deli Group, LLC in the Houston airport lounge is seeking a Food Prep Cook to prepare high-quality items from standardized recipes and production plans, while keeping a clean, safe station and working closely with the culinary team.

You will follow recipes, perform batch cooking with scales and portioning tools, and ensure food safety compliance, completing FSQ logs in real time. This role requires airport commute and flexible availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of cook experience in a food service environment.
• Flexible, open availability including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation and proper handling practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and production plans accurately.
• Must commute daily to IAH Airport.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to recipes and production plans.
• Batch cook using scales, scoops and portioning tools.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation throughout the shift and at close.
• Accurately complete FSQ logs in real time.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation and hygiene regulations.
• Monitor waste and assist with waste log tracking for quality and cost control.
• Communicate shortages or quality concerns to leadership.
• Collaborate with prep cooks, helpers and culinary team to meet production needs.
• Keep dish area clean, organized and stocked and store items properly.
