Compass Group in Chicago's United Polaris Lounge at ORD ORDCS Terminal seeks a hospitality teammate to prepare meals to standards and serve or package them for delivery, maintaining temperatures, portioning, and presentation.

The role requires 1-3 years in high-volume food service with sanitation experience; full-time, 40 hours weekly, 8:00 am or 10:30 am shifts. Fixed pay rate is $24.50 per hour, with benefits including health and retirement and transit support.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of high-volume food service experience.
• Sanitation experience required.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares them for delivery using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat; ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
