Job summary

Sodexo at ORD Airport Lounge is seeking an Airport Lounge Cook to prepare, portion, cook and present hot and cold items for all meals and events. You’ll work in a fast-paced kitchen, maintaining safety, quality and a clean workstation while supporting strong kitchen teamwork.

The role requires 0–2 years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to stand long shifts, with weekend mornings/afternoons/evenings. Benefits and growth opportunities accompany the position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable standards to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking and serving foods.
• Estimate food requirements, check production and keep records for production planning.
• Significant walking or other mobility required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
