Job summary

Areas USA is seeking an IT Business Partner to provide on-site technology support across multiple airport, plaza and office locations within a defined region. The role focuses on POS terminals, kiosks, networks, printers and back-office devices, with primary escalation responsibility and on-site remediation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on IT support across multiple sites.
• POS hardware and peripherals installation and testing.
• Working network knowledge: switches, wireless, cabling, basic routing.
• End-user device support: Windows, imaging, mobile devices.
• Experience with ticketing/service management tools.
• Ability to work with operators in restaurant and airport environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to obtain airport security badging and pass background checks.
• Independent worker with strong documentation habits.
• Comfort using AI tools to document, diagnose and speed resolution.
• Preferred: airport/travel retail, restaurant, hospitality or multi-site retail experience.
• Preferred: Oracle Simphony or similar POS.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site IT support across the assigned region for POS and kiosk hardware, network and printers.
• Escalate and resolve issues on-site when remote resolution is not possible.
• Maintain relationships with operations leadership in the region with regular contact.
• Navigate internal IT domains and deliver actionable follow‑ups to locations.
• Support openings, remodels and equipment rollouts with site readiness and cutover.
• Keep IT asset records and inventory accurate; manage spares and returns.
• Document ticket details, equipment lists and network layouts for future use.
• Contribute to runbooks and knowledge articles to improve first‑time resolution.
• Coordinate on-site vendor and carrier work and ensure completion.
• Identify recurring problems and raise root causes with evidence.
• Obtain airport security badges and comply with access requirements.
• Work safely in terminals and restaurants with minimal service disruption.
• Travel up to 50% within the region, including openings and rollouts.
