Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electromechanical equipment within an active airport environment at Dulles Airport.

The role demands hands-on experience with heavy vehicles and equipment such as buses, trucks, tractors, railcars, or other heavy-duty machinery. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of heavy maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of heavy maintenance and/or heavy-duty diesel experience.
• Experience maintaining buses, trucks, tractors, railcars, heavy equipment, or similar.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting/repair experience.
• Experience with mechanical hand/power tools and multimeters.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electromechanical equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot using maintenance manuals, drawings, schematics, and diagnostic equipment.
• Inspect, repair, replace, adjust, and test mechanical/electrical components.
• Use multimeters, micrometers, calipers, oscilloscopes, analyzers, and mechanical hand/power tools.
• Perform equipment and vehicle recovery activities as needed.
• Document maintenance, inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting activities.
• Follow established safety procedures and support safe equipment operation.
