Job summary

Avfuel Corp is seeking a customer service associate for Avflight Grand Rapids. The role focuses on assisting passengers, managing reservations, handling baggage, and coordinating flight-related services.

You will work outdoors in airport environments and may operate ground support equipment. The position requires strong communication, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and flexibility to cover various shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills required.
• Ability to read and write English; bilingual skills a plus.
• Must be able to push/pull/lift 50 lbs for extended periods.
• Ability to work under time constraints and maintain composure.
• Must be available for varied hours including swing and graveyard shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Must be 18 years or older; HS diploma or GED.
• Background check, pre-employment drug test and security clearance required; U.S. work authorization.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and airport noise levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, friendly service to all customers.
• Make passenger arrangements: itineraries, fares, refunds, tickets, baggage handling, and excess charges.
• Coordinate reservations, standby, luggage, cabin availability, and in-flight supplies.
• Guide passengers between terminal and aircraft safely.
• Load and unload cargo, transport between terminals and aircraft.
• Marshalling of aircraft and equipment; operate ground support equipment.
• Clean and service cabin interiors, including cockpit and lavatories; de-ice aircraft as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
