Job summary

Emery Air LLC at the Chicago Rockford International Airport seeks a Fleet Vehicle, Truck & Ground Service Equipment Mechanic for Rockford, IL. The role covers day-to-day maintenance, PMIs, and repairs to fleet vehicles and ground support equipment, including aircraft refuel trucks, deice trucks, cargo tugs, and passenger vehicles.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of mechanical experience, a high school diploma, basic computer skills, a valid driver's license, and be able to pass a drug

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional mechanical experience, including troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairs preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills
• A valid driver's license
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Fingerprint-based background clearance required (FAA, TSA, Port Authority)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Supply own tools

Responsibilities

• The mechanic’s primary responsibilities will include day-to-day maintenance, preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs), and necessary repairs to fleet vehicles and aircraft ground support equipment to include aircraft refuel trucks, deice trucks, cargo tugs, pickup trucks and passenger vehicles, non-automotive rolling stock and non-powered equipment.
