Job summary

Unifi Aviation LLC seeks a Duty Manager to lead the employee shuttle operations, ensuring safe, efficient daily performance. You will oversee CDL drivers, provide safety training, and coordinate with Supervisors during morning briefs.

You will also monitor schedules, adjust overtime per DOT rules, and generate routine reports using Excel, Word, and Google Workspace. A strong focus on safety, compliance, and customer service is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• Willingness to obtain credentials per airport/state requirements.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Duty Manager is responsible for ensuring the daily Employee Shuttle operation, of delivering employee shuttle passengers to assigned airport area in accordance with passenger specifications runs in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manager. The Duty Manager will oversee and coordinate team activities to create a safe, reliable, efficient, and effective operation.

Job Duties:

• Able to lead a team of CDL drivers.
• Provide safety related training and monthly operator re-training to all existing employees.
• Build a relationship with the customer and attend daily morning briefings
• Oversee and provide continuous coaching to Supervisors.
• Perform post-accident/incident reporting procedures.
• Review daily schedules for coverage to align with contract budgeted hours.
• Able to adjust employee O.T. hours in accordance with DOT Hours of Service Restrictions
• Able to create reports utilizing Microsoft Excel, Microsoft word, and Google Office Suite
• Coordinate with the Safety and Compliance department for all company related safety assignments.
• Able to work in an office or field setting during a 24-hour period.
• Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.
• Verifies the daily shift report including fuel replenishment amounts, vehicle issues, driver - job assignments, tabulation of passenger log sheets, and completion of universal worksheet.
• Supervises and coordinates team activities related to the operation.
• Coaches, counsels and mentors employees, including issuing disciplinary action as required.
• Monitors and enforces safe working conditions in accordance with regulatory requirements, Unifi policies and safety procedures, and all applicable laws.
• Promotes and adheres to policies concerning Safety, Anti-Harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent education.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements.
• Supervisory experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two years of relevant work experience in the Bussing/Employee Shuttle industry
• Transportation experience
• Valid TN CDL A or B with a P endorsement

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to frequently push, pull, stoop, squat, kneel, bend, lift up to 70lbs and move up to 70lbs; and constantly walk, stand, handle, grasp and reach out. May have to reach above shoulder occasionally.

Working conditions:

• You will need to have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime. We operate in a shift bid environment.
• Must be able to be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment.
• Enjoy the outdoors on a daily basis (sun, rain, sleet or snow!) May be exposed to a wide variety of weather conditions, jet and machinery noises, fumes, dirt and dust for extended periods.
