Mead & Hunt, Inc. is seeking an electrical engineering intern in our Bismarck, ND office to support airport design projects (taxiways, aprons, runways) starting Spring/Summer 2027 and ending Fall 2027.

You will assist engineers and designers with electrical documents, design calculations, budgets and field work; frequent travel to project sites (80–100%). Two semesters of EE coursework are required; experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D and MS Office is preferred; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Two semesters of college-level coursework in electrical engineering or related field completed by start date.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering design concepts.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil3D, or Microsoft Office is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare electrical engineering documents.
• Assist with analysis, reports, plans, schedules, studies, and designs.
• Perform electrical design calculations, quantities, and cost estimates.
• Assist with preparation of design and construction budgets.
• Design airport electrical systems such as lighting for runways, taxiways, and aprons.
• Conduct technical research and writing.
• May assist with field inspection, documentation, and survey work.
• Other duties as assigned.
