Job summary

Mead & Hunt seeks a limited-term civil engineering intern in our Bismarck, ND office to support airport projects across North Dakota from May/June 2027 through August/September 2027. The intern will assist engineers, technicians, and surveyors with tasks including measurements, quantity calculations, pay estimates, field inspections and report preparation.

Ideal candidate has completed at least two semesters of civil or construction engineering coursework, familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and

Qualifications

• Completed at least two semesters of civil engineering or construction engineering coursework.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening/background checks and obtain necessary access.
• Willingness to travel 80–100% to project sites across ND.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers, technicians, and surveyors on civil airport projects.
• Perform measurements, quantity calculations and prepare pay estimates.
• Assist with project report preparation.
• Conduct field inspection, documentation, and survey work.
• Support other tasks as assigned.
