American Airlines is hiring a full-time Customer Assistance Representative at Bradley International Airport. Starting pay is $16.94 per hour.

You will greet customers, assist with self-service kiosks, verify baggage and travel documents, and help manage lines and baggage handling in a fast-paced airport environment. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, English fluency, 18+ years old, and ability to obtain necessary security clearances and badges.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or international equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
• Bilingual language skills may be required in some locations.
• Applicable valid driver’s license as required by local authorities.
• Pre-employment drug screen, comprehensive background check and/or fingerprinting to satisfy company and security requirements.
• Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA).
• Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsabilités

• Greeting customers when they enter the airport or arrive in the ticket area.
• Monitor the ticket counter area to ensure it is in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Assist customers with self-service kiosk check-in and kiosk baggage processing.
• Service and maintain kiosk machines.
• Troubleshoot kiosk technology issues to identify the source of issues or errors.
• Communicate with IT about kiosk technology issues that require additional servicing.
• Verify that customers’ carry-on baggage complies with FAA/American Airlines policies.
• Verify and clear travel documents for international travel.
• Assist customers with checked baggage processing.
• Queue lines in ticket counter areas based on departure times or type of assistance needed.
• Accept and activate customers’ self-tagged baggage at the activation station.
• Move baggage throughout the ticket counter area.
• Assist customers with checking their assistive devices and oversized items.
• Refer customers to customer service agents when appropriate.
• Perform clearance and verification of documents at kiosks.
• Assist with the physical movement of non-ambulatory customers as they board, deplane, or move through the gate.
• Assist unaccompanied minors with boarding, deplaning, or other transportation.
• Provide customers with gate information and directions.
• Perform paging activities where applicable.
• Complete job-relevant trainings and adhere to regulations and company policies.
