Job summary

Mead & Hunt, Inc. is offering a limited-term civil engineering intern position based in our Fargo, ND office to work on airport projects across North Dakota from May/June 2027 to August/September 2027.

The intern will assist engineers, technicians and surveyors with field inspections, measurements, quantity calculations and report preparation, and will gain hands-on exposure to AutoCAD, Civil3D and surveying tasks while traveling to job sites.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have completed at least two semesters of civil engineering coursework.
• Experience with civil airport projects and field measurements is preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and basic grading concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers, technicians and surveyors on civil airport projects.
• Perform measurements, quantity calculations and pay estimates.
• Prepare project reports and perform field inspections and survey work.
• Support research and other tasks as assigned.
