Job summary

Quantem Aviation Services at Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) airport is seeking a Lead Material Handler to coach peers and ensure cargo handling aligns with safety standards. You will expedite and route movement of incoming and outgoing cargo and freight for air transport, while maintaining compliance with customer and company procedures.

The role requires English literacy, a valid driver's license, and prior shipping experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
• Previous shipping experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English.
• Must be able to verbally direct in English.

Responsibilities

• Builds up and breaks down cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines.
• Ensures all company and customer safety standards are met and maintained.
• Identifies cargo that does not meet customer or company standards and/or guidelines.
• Organizes freight within the warehouse according to the base storage plan.
• Properly and safely loads and unloads freight.
