Job summary

The Inland Group of Companies is seeking a Lead Material Handler to support Transportation Handling Services at the airport. This role involves expediting and routing incoming and outgoing cargo for air transportation, with a 2am–10am shift. Applicants should be 18+, hold a valid driver’s license, and have basic shipping experience.

• Ensures all company and customer safety standards are met and maintained.
• Identifies cargo that does not meet customer or company standards and or guidelines.
• Organizes freight within the warehouse according to the base storage plan.
• Properly and safely loads and unloads freight.

Position Overview

A Lead is a subject matter expert who coaches, motivates and guides operational work performed by their peers. Leads are responsible for monitoring and reporting any extraordinary performance or deviations from operational standards. As a cargo agent, you will assist customers during the shipping and handling process by expediting and routing movement of incoming and outgoing cargo and freight shipments for air transportation. 2 positions- 2am - 10am

Essential Duties And Responsibilities (Including But Not Limited To)

Required Skills And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred;
• Must be at least 18 years old;
• A valid driver’s license is required for this position.

• Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives;
• Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English;

Work Environment

• Indoor environment which may contain small, close or confined space(s).

Physical Demands

• Must be able to squat, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch, crawl in awkward positions;
• Must be able to lift, push pull up to 75 pounds at times;
• May be exposed to hazards inherent in airport operations, including noise, vehicles, equipment, and weather, all of which are well-managed with a high level of training, personal protective equipment, and safety procedures.
