Job summary

Elite Line Services in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of Baggage Handling Systems and Passenger Boarding Bridges. You may mentor and assign tasks to junior personnel when seniors are unavailable.

Responsibilities include diagnosing equipment failures, interpreting manuals and schematics, adhering to safety procedures, and providing guidance to a team.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of previous mechanical or electrical experience.
• Ability to work a non-traditional schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Preferred: Airport environment experience.
• Conveyors or passenger boarding bridge experience optional but preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and engineering drawings.
• Basic knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in an industrial environment.
• HVAC, welding/brazing, and/or plumbing knowledge and skills.
• Minimum 2 years of electrical/electronic systems experience.
• 3+ years industrial mechanical/electrical background.
• PLC logic and/or Industrial HVAC certification (1 year min).
• Advanced computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Completes basic maintenance assignments including preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance and clears system jams.
• Diagnoses equipment failures under supervision and ensures equipment runs safely.
• Provides direction and mentoring to personnel assisting in maintenance and repair tasks.
• Reads and interprets repair manuals, basic schematics, and supervisors' instructions.
• Works in tight spaces using PPE and fall protection equipment.
• Follows company policies and completes required training and forms.
• Assists with basic maintenance such as sweeping, cleaning and greasing.
• Complies with safety programs and performs duties as required by management.
