Job summary

ABM Industries at Dulles International Airport is seeking a reliable Customer Service - Baggage Handler to assist passengers with the proper transportation of their luggage, both inside the terminal and curbside. This full-time role is on AM or PM shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from passengers and managers.
• Must possess listening skills.
• Basic math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

Responsibilities

• Meet arrivals and assist passengers at baggage claim.
• Transport luggage between the airport curbside and ticket counters.
• Assist with oversized luggage, kennels, and skis.
• Ensure luggage is placed on the belt within required time frames.
• Follow security procedures and hazardous material handling requirements.
• Restock baggage supplies and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Lift up to 75 pounds or more for portions of the shift.
