Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a baggage handler in Denver to coordinate misplaced baggage with BSO/Bag Room, prepare carrier reports, and ensure proper tagging and routing. The role requires handling odd-size luggage, lifting, and frequent physical work outdoors in varied conditions.

The candidate must have ramp experience, be 18+, hold a valid US driver’s license, pass pre-employment tests, and read/write/speak English. Weekend/holiday shifts and a high school diploma are required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate misplaced and lost baggage with BSO/Bag Room and prepare reports for carriers.
  • Ensure accurate baggage tagging, routing and handling – including odd-size luggage – and interpret IATA tickets and routing labels.
  • Load and unload baggage and cargo safely between aircraft, terminals, carts and facilities.
  • Maintain safety, security, and regulatory compliance while performing physically demanding tasks.
  • Support operational reliability by meeting attendance expectations and performing other duties as assigned.

Role Purpose

This role is responsible for coordinating with BSO and Bag Room to handle misplaced/lost baggage claims and provide reports to carriers. Position requires heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching and frequent kneeling. Adheres to all standards, procedures ensuring all work is performed safely and is supported by following established procedures and protocols.

What you will be doing
  • Coordinate misplaced and lost baggage claims with BSO/Bag Room and prepare required reports for carriers.
  • Ensure accurate baggage tagging, routing, and handling—including odd‑size luggage—and interpret IATA tickets and routing labels.
  • Load and unload baggage and cargo safely between aircraft, terminals, carts, and designated facilities.
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety, security, and regulatory standards while performing physically demanding tasks.
  • Support operational reliability by meeting attendance expectations and performing other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for
  • Prior Ramp experience required
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess and maintain valid US driver's license
  • Pass all pre-employment testing including a drug screen, FBI background, Customs Seal, and employment history.
  • Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Must have high school diploma or GED.
