Job summary

SkyWest Airlines is seeking a part‑time Airport Agent in Salina, KS. You will greet passengers, issue tickets, check baggage, rebook flights, and assist customers with special needs, while loading and unloading luggage and coordinating with the flight crew.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, HS diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 pounds, and the stamina to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Salary is $16/hour with flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Possess a valid, unrestricted, state-issued driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Basic knowledge of fundamental computer programs for record-keeping and baggage routing.
• Lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and strong time management.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Flexible schedule including split shifts (early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays).
• Part-time position.
• $16 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload customer luggage, airfreight, and company mail onto and off aircraft.
• Greet passengers, issue tickets, provide seat assignments, check baggage, board flights, rebook passengers as needed.
• Escort passengers with special needs safely and courteously.
• Marshal aircraft on the ramp.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
• Service aircraft as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Primary Job Duties

Airport agents are primarily responsible for ensuring excellent customer service while performing a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to ticketing and rebooking passengers, boarding flights, assisting passengers with special needs, resolving customer concerns, and more.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload customer luggage, airfreight, and company mail onto and off aircraft


• Greet passengers, issue tickets, provide seat assignments, check baggage, board flights, assist customers who arrive without their luggage, and rebook passengers, all in a prompt and friendly manner


• Escort passengers and customers with special needs safely and courteously


• Marshal aircraft in and out of the ramp area


• This position requires you to work outside in all weather conditions


• Service aircraft as needed


• Other duties as assigned
