Job summary

SkyWest is seeking airport agents to ensure excellent customer service, handle ticketing, boarding, baggage, and rebooking tasks. The role includes assisting passengers with special needs and working outdoors in all weather conditions while supporting aircraft operations.

Positions may be part-time or full-time, with a flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Starting pay is competitive in the US aviation market.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid, unrestricted state-issued driver's license.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Pass background check and drug screening.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Lift 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Flexible schedule, including split shifts; weekends and holidays.
• Part-time or full-time positions may be available.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload luggage, airfreight, and company mail onto/off aircraft.
• Greet passengers, issue tickets, provide seat assignments, check baggage and rebook passengers.
• Assist passengers with special needs and resolve customer concerns.
• Escort passengers safely and courteously; marshal aircraft on/off ramp.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions; service aircraft as needed; other duties as assigned.

Primary Job Duties

Airport agents are primarily responsible for ensuring excellent customer service while performing a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to ticketing and rebooking passengers, boarding flights, assisting passengers with special needs, resolving customer concerns, and more.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload customer luggage, airfreight, and company mail onto and off aircraft


• Greet passengers, issue tickets, provide seat assignments, check baggage, board flights, assist customers who arrive without their luggage, and rebook passengers, all in a prompt and friendly manner


• Escort passengers and customers with special needs safely and courteously


• Marshal aircraft in and out of the ramp area


• This position requires you to work outside in all weather conditions


• Service aircraft as needed


• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• 18 years of age or older


• Possess a valid, unrestricted, state-issued driver’s license


• Have a High School Diploma or GED


• Pass a background check and drug screening


• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship


• Basic knowledge of fundamental computer programs for record-keeping and baggage routing


• Lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation


• Adaptability to changing priorities and effective time management skills


• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills


• This position requires a flexible schedule, including split shifts that may occur during early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays


• Part-time and full-time positions may be available


• Starting at $20 per hour
