Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Part 121 Air Carrier Aviation Maintenance or relevant Military Experience.

  • Strong communication skills in English (speak, read, write).

Job description

PSA Airlines is immediately seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor to join our Dayton, OH Team!

The Supervisor of Maintenance impacts PSA's safety of its customers and employees by providing supervision over all personnel on shift; ensuring that they properly execute all maintenance updates, and the aircraft is prepared and ready for release. The Maintenance Supervisor consistently demonstrates a safe & compliant work environment, as well as ensuring compliance of subordinates. They will schedule the department in such a manner that adequate coverage is provided while maintenance is being performed. This role is responsible for preparing written reports to the Maintenance Manager for delays, cancellations, & any irregularities. Another responsibility is signing maintenance releases & potentially assuming full responsibility for aircraft under the jurisdiction of the Maintenance Department during a check. They will coordinate all operation planning to ensure the proper work is performed on the aircraft as scheduled, & that the responsible mechanic properly executes all necessary work records. Maintaining liaison with Maintenance Control, Production Planning, and other departments is also key. They will ensure adequate tool inventories are maintained & proper use of these tools is observed, working in an outside maintenance operation to ensure airworthiness. The Maintenance Supervisor on duty will be available for consultation & decision making on matters requiring instruction or higher-level decisions regarding maintenance, preventive maintenance, alterations, or other functions affecting aircraft airworthiness. This role provides direct supervision of the Lead Mechanic & delegates duties as necessary. Overall, they are responsible for the Company's Security & Safety Management System (SMS) and related Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.

PSA Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor Requirements :

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant certification
  • 3+ years of Part 121 Air Carrier Aviation Maintenance or relevant Military Experience
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Passport / equivalent within 90 days of start
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Strong communication skills in English (speak, read, write)
  • Comfortable supervising union workers in a non-union role
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
