Job summary

Gate Gourmet in Honolulu, Hawaii, seeks a seasoned supervisor/manager to coordinate kitchen–driver interactions, prepare labor forecasts, and ensure timely dock departures. The role requires leadership over 20–30 staff, ensuring safety, quality, and high service levels for airline catering operations.

Preferred candidates have 3–5 years of supervisory experience, scheduling expertise, and familiarity with high-volume food service. Full-time on-site role with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• 3–5 years of supervisory/management experience.
• Experience with scheduling and forecasting labor is preferred.
• In-flight catering or high-volume food service experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to lead a staff of 20–30 and manage labor relations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates services between the kitchen and drivers, and manages activities on the receiving dock.
• Creates assignments for team drivers and flight allocations.
• Ensures equipment and schedules are in compliance and dock departure occurs on time.
• Creates labor forecasts and allocates resources accordingly.
• Ensures teams cater the correct aircraft and flights.
• Ensures safety procedures are followed by all staff.
• Assists teams with late flights and equipment changes.
• Obtains necessary information from other airlines for service.
• Maintains communication with supervisors and leads during operations.
