Job summary

Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) is seeking an Assistant Airport Manager in the Airline Services Division. This leadership role serves as the airlines' main point of contact at LAWA and leads efforts to bring new passenger and cargo air service to Los Angeles.

Reporting to the Chief Operations & Maintenance Officer, you will represent LAWA with airlines, industry groups, and government agencies. The ideal candidate is a relationship builder with strategic instincts who uses tact and diplomacy

Qualifications

• Four years of full-time paid experience with LAWA in a role at the level of Senior Management Analyst or equivalent.
• Experience in airport operations, maintenance, landside/airfield operations, or construction.
• Experience in project management, budget, procurement compliance, or contract management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for airlines and coordinate monthly Airline/Airport Affairs meetings.
• Communicate with airlines about gate usage, operational rules, and flight scheduling.
• Develop and implement a marketing strategy to grow passenger and cargo air service.
• Oversee air service studies, market research, and establish procedures for future marketing.
• Manage LAWA's Strategic Marketing Alliance and align task orders with contracting policies.
• Lead a small team and develop the division's annual budget.
• Duties may evolve with organizational needs.
