Job summary

Aloha Air Cargo is seeking a dedicated Cargo Agent in Nome, AK to ensure accurate processing of customer freight and mail and to safeguard operations in accordance with company policies. The role includes data entry, daily reconciliation, and timely delivery of backhaul shipments.

You will load/unload aircraft, marshal planes, maintain ramp areas, assist customers, and perform routine maintenance on ground service equipment. A strong physical stamina and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Prior applicable experience preferred.
• This position is very active and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing up to 8–10 hours a day.
• Requires frequent and routine lifting or moving items weighing over 70 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• For Anchorage, Nome, Kotzebue and Bethel Stations - Must be able to pass a ten year security background check for airport badging.

Responsibilities

• Ensure mail and freight are accurately processed and entered into the computer database.
• Assist with mail and freight on hand daily reconciliation.
• Deliver backhaul mail and freight to post offices, main line carriers, or customers promptly.
• Load and unload aircraft and marshal aircraft.
• Maintain ramp and storage areas for mail and freight.
• Assist customers with shipping, receiving, or locating freight orders via in-person or phone calls.
• Perform daily maintenance and fluid checks on ground service equipment.
• Notify supervisor of facility or vehicle maintenance needs or discrepancies.
• Operate ground service equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
